Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PlaceProfile.us ("Service") is operated by SiliconIslands AB, a company registered in Sweden ("Company", "we", "us"). The Service creates structured, machine-readable venue profiles optimized for discovery by AI systems. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each account must represent a real person or business entity.

3. Venue Profiles

You may create profiles only for venues you own or are authorized to represent. Each profile must correspond to an actual, physical business location. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information in your venue profiles.

4. Payment Terms

The Service is billed at $99 per month per venue. All new accounts include a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, your payment method will be charged automatically. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

5. Music and Content

PlaceProfile reads music metadata from playlists you connect. The Service does not play, stream, distribute, or license music. Music licensing for your venue is your sole responsibility. We process only metadata (track titles, artist names, audio features) — never audio files.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your venue information and descriptions. You grant us a license to publish this information as structured data for the purpose of AI discoverability. We retain ownership of the Service, its technology, algorithms, and design.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to: create profiles for non-existent businesses; impersonate another business; submit false or misleading information; interfere with the Service's operation; or violate any applicable law. See our Acceptable Use Policy for details.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your venue profiles will be deactivated and removed from public access within 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI systems will recommend your venue. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
