Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PlaceProfile ("Service") is operated by SiliconIslands AB, a company registered in Sweden ("Company", "we", "us"). The Service creates structured, machine-readable venue profiles optimized for discovery by AI systems. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1a. Two tiers

Registered is free, permanently, for every venue. PlaceProfile publishes a machine-readable profile at a stable URL with a category-matched atmosphere sample, clearly labelled as such, so AI systems asking about your venue find a real answer. You may claim it at no cost.

Measured is paid. You connect your own PlaceProfile compatible playlist; the same URL then describes the music you actually play, measured per track, with the AI-reader dashboard and citation monitoring. The current price and billing interval (monthly or annual) are shown at checkout and billed by Stripe, our payment processor.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each account must represent a real person or business entity.

3. Venue Profiles

You may create profiles only for venues you own or are authorized to represent. Each profile must correspond to an actual, physical business location. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information in your venue profiles.

4. Payment

The measured tier renews automatically at the interval you chose until you stop it, which you can do at any time. If you cancel, or if a payment is not resolved, your venue returns to the free registered tier — your profile stays published at the same URL with the category sample, and the free tier is never withdrawn. Nothing is removed, so there is nothing owed back to you.

5. Music and Content

PlaceProfile reads music metadata from the PlaceProfile compatible playlist you connect. The Service does not play, stream, distribute, or license music. Music licensing for your venue is your sole responsibility. We process only metadata (track titles, artist names, audio features), never audio files.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your venue information and descriptions. You grant us a license to publish this information as structured data for the purpose of AI discoverability. We retain ownership of the Service, its technology, algorithms, and design.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to: create profiles for non-existent businesses; impersonate another business or venue you are not authorized to represent; submit false or misleading information; attempt to manipulate AI crawler behavior or bot-visit metrics; interfere with the Service's operation; or violate any applicable law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your settings; personal data is erased as described in the Privacy Policy. Claiming your venue for free does not tie its page to your account — deleting your account does not remove it. If you registered a venue through sign-up, that venue never had a directory listing behind it: deleting the account removes it, and its page stops resolving. If you upgraded a claimed venue to the measured tier, deleting the account removes the measured venue, but its page keeps resolving — it falls back to the free registered tier on the same URL, the same as if you had simply stopped payment on a measured-tier subscription (see “Payment” above).

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI systems will recommend your venue. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
