PlaceProfile uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for security and session management) and, with your consent, one self-hosted analytics cookie family (Matomo). We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, social-media pixels, or any other tools that share personal data with external operators.

Analytics (consent required)
Set only after you click "Accept analytics" on the consent banner. Matomo is self-hosted by SiliconIslands AB on nimreport.com — no analytics data is shared with third parties, and the Matomo tracker script is not even loaded into the page until you accept.

3. Consent Mechanism
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with two buttons: Accept analytics and Reject. Until you choose, no Matomo cookies are set and no analytics requests are sent. Your choice is recorded in the cookie_consent cookie for 6 months. To change your choice, clear that cookie (or use your browser's cookie controls) and the banner will reappear on your next visit.
4. Third-Party Cookies
PlaceProfile does not load any third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tools that share data with external operators.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we add new cookie categories or sub-processors, we will update this policy and re-prompt for consent before introducing the new cookies.
